Competitions
The Christchurch Pistol holds a major IPSC event every year called Quake City. This is a Level 3 IPSC competition and attracts shooters from all around New Zealand as well as Australia and the Pacific Islands.
Our members also compete at competitions throughout the year in both the North and South Islands. These events are hosted through Pistol New Zealand where registrations are held.
Club Activities and Events
IPSC
The IPSC section holds a club Mini Match on the last Sunday of every month. These are mixture of short, medium and long courses of fire and are used as training for National events. Mini matches are open to all club members but it is recommended that you have your holster qualification and have spent some time with the IPSC section before attempting one.
Multigun
The Multigin section meets on the second Sunday of each month on Range 8. New members are welcome to participate but it is recommended that you have your holster qualification and have spent some time with IPSC as the format is very similar with the exception of multiple guns being used in a course of fire.
CMP (Action)
The CMP section shoots every Sunday on Range 8 with the exception of the second Sunday of each month where they use the Steel Range. CMP is a fantastic place to start your pistol club journey.
